These two minor abilities are useful for mounted characters and are certainly worth considering in building a mounted character or in a campaign where the characters are often riding.
Fast Mount and Dismount reduces the amount of time it takes to mount and dismount at least as quickly as levels in Riding do, much more quickly at low levels. By level 11 in this ability, even an incompetent rider can mount or dismount instantly.
Firm Seat provides something that Riding cannot provide on its own: reductions in penalties for ranged attack from horse back and reductions in the probability of spell failure while casting and riding.
These two abilities help make non-traditional mounted characters effecting. Would you play a mounted mage or horse archer? What other things would you have in your build with these abilities? Comment below to let us know.
