And lo, as we returned from Svarborg to the bring the evidence we took to the oracle, Brother Grigori heard a familiar cry from a flying stronghold in the distance. And now, we prevailed upon Delsaphine to carry us thence and embarked in the castle.
We combated three giants as the alarm sounded, later dealing also with their gryphon guards. The castle became suspiciously quiet and we were able to move freely, eventually finding Felgolos wounded and tortured in one of the chambers. We paused there and healed him enough for him to take Halfling form so we could carry him out. But behold, as we arrived at the airship, we found a giant there waiting for us. He allowed us to depart with Felgolos, disapproving of his sister whose fortress it was.
And behold, we arrived at the oracle again and received from her the conch we needed to make our way to Maelstrom and address the princess. We learned from the oracle that Imriss, the blue dragon who nearly enslaved me as a gargoyle, is in Maelstrom disguised as a giant and that she would be the biggest threat to our cause.
As we were preparing to leave the oracle, Imriss arrived and Harshnag engaged, yelling for us to flee. As we got clear, he broke the pillars of the oracle temple, causing it to collapse on himself and Imriss. And it came to pass that we fled that place, wondering where we should go to prepare ourselves to enter Maelstrom. Even at that time, we had no doubt that Imriss had survived the collapse somehow, and we desired the means to expose her when we arrived there.
