In Neverwinter, our fisherman captain agreed to introduce us to people who might be able carry us the rest of the way. We arrived at the tavern to find a fight breaking out. Despite our attempts to de-escalate it in the name of Torm, we were thrown out with those participating in the fight. The victim, from our perspective, was seemingly recommended to us by Torm, for she turned out to be a member of the Harpers and was able to get us teleported to Waterdeep.
And behold, in Waterdeep we sought out one of the close friends of Artis Simber. But lo, he had heard no news of Artis for some time and was able only to advise us concerning where to continue our search in Yartar. Nevertheless, he did invite us to join him for dinner.
During the meal, a drunken guest used a bag of beans irresponsibly and we had to save him from the ensuing danger, but by Torm’s blessing I was able to get the old man out of danger. We did ascend the beanstalk his beans had grown to a castle of clouds where we met storm giants who informed us that the storm giant king had disappeared, presumed dead, but that the chaos in the giant ordening was caused by his heir refusing to recognize him as dead. She was searching for him rather than controlling the giants. We knew then that Torm would guide us to her before long.
On the morrow, we returned to the Harpers and they teleported us to Yartar to continue our search for Artis. And behold, there we met again Felgolos, who enlisted our aide in dealing with cultists on a casino boat, which we did in great chaos before returning with Felgolos to the land to continue our work.
My character, Jex, is a Half-elf Celestial Warlock with the Urchin background. The Book of Jex will be the story of his spiritual journey from being a chaotic neutral street denizen doing whatever it takes to survive to becoming a noble and courageous servant of Torm willing to give his life for the greater good.
