The Book of Jex-Chapter 6

And as we did set forth from the river crossing, we sought a place to make camp. And behold! By the grace of Torm Brother Grigori did spy a trail leading from the road, much used, but not for some time. We did follow it, hoping to find shelter there, and lo, a cave!

In the cave we found writing which Aaven read telling of a treasure hidden in the cave. And behold, after much searching and digging, we did find a secret passage and soon passed through a room a patient trepidation where Aaven held a switch while runes glowed only for a door to open. Next we passed through a room where magic denied our passage by flight and Aaven led the way across a dangerous floor of fire and acid.

At the far end we entered a maze of tunnels, and with Torm’s guidance I did lead the way to the far end where we found a treasure horde with a puzzle, which D’rak did solve by his great cunning. We passed by another puzzle and this returned to the cave whence we had come, but a wall moved away and we uncovered a chest with for each of us a bag of holding and gold to aide us in Torm’s cause.

My character, Jex, is a Half-elf Celestial Warlock with the Urchin background. The Book of Jex will be the story of his spiritual journey from being a chaotic neutral street denizen doing whatever it takes to survive to becoming a noble and courageous servant of Torm willing to give his life for the greater good.
