Biweekly Monster-Potnik

Potnik are solitary planar travelers most often found on the Astral and Ethereal Planes. While they are not particularly aggressive on their native planes, when they are found on other planes of existence, it is often as prisoners to harness their planar travel powers and they often become hostile if the opportunity for escape arises.

Planar Traveler. The Potnik are easily capable of drifting between the planes, though they prefer the more desolate planes between planes. Their powers of planar travel are sometimes harnessed by cultures who ply the planes for easy travel.

The Inky Black. Potnik’s are a physical representation of the matter beyond matter. Staring too long into one of their eyes invites madness.Potnik (2)

As close as I could get to a 5e recreation of the Mind Weave version the players met in Ker Vedno. The dwarves were using them to power teleportation circles that otherwise would be untenable in the Mind Weave magic system.
