Raglan’s Journal 27

Sigfried rushed into the room, laying hands upon the Androsphinx and cleansing it of Tiamat’s possession. While I rushed the House Grey noble commanding the Sphinx, the sphinx banished him, instructing us that he needed to withdraw before the noble reappeared and we would have to handle him. His amulet to control the sphinx was too powerful to overcome by Sigfried’s cleansing touch alone.

The sphinx teleported away and the nobleman reappeared. We attacked with fury and soon killed him, or rather Tiamat melted him, and the amulet was destroyed. He had been guarding the interim Head Master of the college and we quickly freed him of his bonds. We heard the sphinx under attack outside and Anduin messaged him to return to us. Together, we all teleported from the nearly empty college to House Damian where Sigfried finished freeing the androsphinx of his bonds and the mages, including the head master, received much needed healing.

The sphinx summoned for us a mighty feast and when we finished celebrating our partial victory, he banished himself from our realm, unwilling to join in our fight. We had intended to regain our strength and return to slay the ancient dragon at the college and prevent it costing House Damian further lives and strategic positions, but we learned that deliveries are being made to House Grey of resources from the coast and also that the portal on the coast is nearly complete again, ready to bring Tiamat through. Perhaps the time has come to end this war altogether at the northern coast, if we have the strength. If so, there is no further cause for lesser objectives such as a single ancient dragon.

These journal entries are going to be in-character play reports from ByW’s campaign, which we alternated playing with the Tyranny of Mundanity campaign and now the Primordial Frontier campaign. My character, Raglan “the Light”, admires RiH’s character, Anduin Damian and follows him believing his place in history will be as a companion of the royal adventurer. He is impressed with their elven companion, Juniper (played by BiW), but does not know her well.
