“When massive spiders started to appear in the Grey Wood North o’ Ashura, hunters went forth ter find their nest and eradicate the growing infestation. The town had relief, for a time, but then the hunters closed in on the nest. The last expedition went out, and only spiders returned, in greater numbers than ever before.”

Havalii, the Spider Queen, spends a decade or so at a time dormant, regathering her energy to spawn another brood of children. With the growth of humanoid civilization and the taming of the wilds, a time approaches when her next brood will have a direct and immediate impact on those who have been slowly and surely fighting back her current brood.

When she awakes, she slowly starts to spawn giant spiders, the rate increasing as she becomes more aware. Eventually, the number of spiders becomes a flood. This usually takes nearly a year to reach, but if she is attacked, she is immediately shaken from her stupor.

Spider Climb. The Spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Web Sense. While in contact with a web, Havalli knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.
Web Walker. The spider ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.

Actions
Multiattack. Havalii makes two bite attacks or a bite attack and a web.
Bite.
 Melee Weapon Attack: 
+8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) piercing damage and (1d6) poison damage. The target must make a DC 11 Constitution Saving Throw or become poisoned.
Web (Recharge 3-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 60/120 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 15 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 10; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).
Spawn of Havalii (Recharge 6). Havalii chooses a point within 120 feet, all creatures within 10 feet of that point must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or be webbed as in the Web action and suffer 2d6 bludgeoning damage. Half damage and no webbing on a successful save.
1d4 swarms of spiders appear in the squares surrounding the point and attack enemies of Havalii.

Legendary Actions
Havalii can take 1 legendary action, choosing from the options below. One one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Havalii regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Bite. Havalii makes one bite attack.
Web. Havalii makes one web attack. Shares a recharge with the Web action.

Meant to be a boss of a short arc, Havalii can be surrounded with Giant Spiders of her more mature spawn and Giant Wolf Spiders reskinned as Giant Spiders as new spawns earlier in the year.
