Biweekly Item-Time-Pocket Watch

“Verin, look at this! It’s one of these intricate, little time pieces!” Pellus pressed a button on the little pocket watch and looked over at Verin, seeing him stock still. “Whoa, are you okay?” He walked over to him, concerned.

Verin suddenly vanished as he drew close and Pellus found himself being shaken and Verin yelling, “what’s wrong? Say something!”

“Nothing!” Pellus yelled, breaking free in confusion. “Nothing.” He looked in wonder down at the watch and slowly pocketed it.

Time-Pocket Watch

Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement)

As a bonus action, you may click the pocket watch to begin a new turn during which time is frozen for everyone else. Other characters do not get reactions during this turn, you can pass through occupied spaces (as long as the creature doesn’t fully block the space, a la gelatinous cube), your attacks automatically hit and deal critical damage, and other characters automatically fail Strength and Dexterity saving throws.

After this extra turn, you are frozen in time until the start of your next turn. During this time, you do not get reactions, other creatures can pass freely through your space, attacks made against you automatically hit and deal critical damage, and you automatically fail Strength and Dexterity saving throws.

This item is a 5e version of the item for (TrS)’s new character, Rovert, which is much more flexible and punishing in Mind Weave.

I love items that are a puzzle to use effectively. I wrote a short document with tables for randomly generating items with a drawback: A Blessing and a Curse. Get it for $1! Most of the other stuff is free, pick those up too!
