Raglan’s Journal 02

We have reunited with our elf friend, Juniper. We nearly missed her in our haste to come to her aide, but by a stroke of luck I was able to spot her while we were off track. She had collapsed in an effort to keep up with her drakonid companion, which had been compelled to leave our camp by a sinister force. With one friend returned to us, we rested a little before beginning the hunt again.

With Juniper’s words of guidance, I led the way through the mountain pass in pursuit of her little friend. There were signs of his ice breath that assured us we were close. I soon spotted drakonid forms in the valley below us and despite the onset of night, we proceeded toward them.

Anduin boldly attempted to speak to the dragon by magic, but when he got no response, he ordered the attack. I made a light for us and we moved in to engage the dragon, presumably the draw for the smaller drakes. A dragon priest ambushed us from the dark with a fireball and the fight was on. Incredibly, Juniper became a bear and engaged the priest while I confronted the dragon in a fight for my life. If not for Anduin’s magics upon me, I would most assuredly have fallen to the dragon’s wrath.

Anduin’s fireball swept away a number of our small foes and wounded the priest, allowing Juniper’s animal friends to bring it down. While the dragon, though wounded, eluded my blade, he could not escape Anduin, who struck it down with arcane bolts. He is truly destined for great things.

We camped on the battlefield and Anduin reported in to the college. Apparently they are pleased with our progress. We returned through the pass and retrieved the horses so we could continue on our way. On the open plain, we were confronted by a patrol who Anduin put in their place so we could continue with our mission. We now proceed assured that we can defeat the foe with which we are presented.

These journal entries are going to be in-character play reports from ByW’s campaign, which we are going to alternate playing with the Tyranny of Mundanity campaign. My character, Raglan “the Light”, admires RiH’s character, Anduin Damian and follows him believing his place in history will be as a companion of the royal adventurer. He is impressed with their elven companion (played by BiW), but does not know her well.
