Raglan’s Journal 01

I keep this record out of a compulsion I feel when I hold this empty journal. Whether it is some magic of the journal or an undeniable knowledge that Anduin Damian’s mission will have a monumental impact on the future of our world. Together we stumbled across something very dangerous happening on the Northern shores of our land, dragons coming, it seems.

We brought word of our findings to the great college, seeking their wisdom in how to proceed. It did not go as intended. When the headmaster attempted to scry into the matter, he was dragged through a portal. There was nothing I could do. He was formless in my arms. Anduin Damian mustered his considerable power to close the portal, but could not. In the council that followed, Lord Damian volunteered to lead us to the area the headmaster was scrying so we can retrieve him and confront the power that took him and protect our land.

In pursuit of this mission, we have left the college. Rather than take the safe road west, back to Helmsdale and the way we went before, Anduin Damian has elected to cut several days off our journey by taking a less known path around the mountains and along their North Eastern foothills toward the sea. This lands is more wild, we don’t know what will await us, but our mission is imperative.

This morning, while we were still on the road, we awoke to find that our elven companion (history may not record her as an elf, she disguises her race, but I hope this record will convince historians to recognize the role the elves played in the events to come) missing from the camp. We are not sure why she vanished during her watch, but I have found evidence that she ran toward the mountains. We don’t know how long she has been gone, why, or how far, so we are loading Athos in order to follow her in a measured manner.

These journal entries are going to be in-character play reports from ByW’s campaign, which we are going to alternate playing with the Tyranny of Mundanity campaign. My character, Raglan “the Light”, admires RiH’s character, Anduin Damian and follows him believing his place in history will be as a companion of the royal adventurer. He is impressed with their elven companion (played by BiW), but does not know her well.
