The Desiccant Robes are built on the principles of my A Blessing and a Curse document, but is balanced to be more a trap than a boon, but in some cases the benefits may be worth the cost.
The wearer loses one Constitution per day (at sunset) and upon reaching 0 becomes an undead. If the wearer dies of other causes while wearing the robes, they become an undead as if their Constitution had reached 0. The robes can only be removed while engulfed in flames. If the wearer dies by flame, he does not become an undead.
The robes grant the wearer powerful resolve: +12 on saving throws to resist being charmed, frightened, or stunned.
