Divine Artifact-Surveyor’s Cap

“No, no not here,” Palirt muttered, touching the brim of his hat. The Calldinkel Director of Agriculture rejected the third site they’d brought him to, turning back to his carriage. “This land is not worth your effort.”

“How could he possibly know that?”

“Land he approves grows three times as much as other lands,” Gerrit shrugged, following the carriage toward the next site.

Surveyor’s Cap

A Surveyor’s Cap is obtained as a gift from Vanias. The wearer has only to touch the brim to obtain all kinds of information about the land he’s looking at. This information includes being able to tell the exact slope of the land and how water would flow through it at various rates of rainfall. It also includes soil qualities like acidity, alkaline, nutrients, and stability. Surveyor’s Caps are humble in appearance, though they come in many shapes and sizes depending on the culture.

A useful item, though perhaps not for adventurers. Farmers and maybe architects put one to good use. Would your character want one? What would you use it for?

Mind Weave Divine Artifacts are very different than enchanted items. They can do a much wider range of things. Any you would like to see? Comment below and let us know!
