The last of the little party of three I’m toying with following with some of these posts (they killed a bile drake here.) This one is a magic-user. He’s not built particularly for encharges (though he can do them) and is more focused on casting during combat.
Filn Ragleaf was raised on stories of the world beyond his elven conclave in the Black Forest. Life was good enough in the area they controlled, and there was enough excitement for most of his people.Filn was not so easily satisfied. He hungered for news in the conflict between Lyseria and Sumak to the South. He devoured stories about the patrolmen and their fight. He wanted to be like them, but he was small and scrawny. He settled on the goal of approaching their power, but he would do so with magic. Early in his training, the elders in Filn’s community became aware of a serious threat in the area. They began to marshal all their resources to defend against it, but Filn could sense the overwhelming dread. They needed help.
Filn travelled, without permission, to the Southern border of Lyseria, to Sumak, hoping to convince some of the border patrol he had long idolized to help them. He knew the elders had sent messengers to Avalon, but he only needed a handful of patrolmen, just in case Avalon could not help. He was disappointed. His efforts got him one patrolman, a young one: Riek Liput. With him came a scrawny street urchin, Michael Dorne. Taking what he could get, he led them back to the Black Forest where they decided to cut to the source of the evil rather than join the elven ranks. His magic continued to grow and he soon believed that he and his companions were the single greatest hope for his people.

Filn is a fair caster for his level. He has 10 of each of the tree component types known and receives 10 bonus DoP when using Pure Magic and 5 DoP for Swift, Battle, or Stealth Magic (he uses Swift Magic often in battle). He’s a fairly fast caster, especially when only fingers are involved with an effective right-handed dexterity of 23 those finger changes can happen at almost 5 a second. His effective left-handed dexterity is 21 for over 4 fingers a second. In swift spells, this means he can cast a Swift Wild Fire spell in a second flat. It benefits him less in Pure Magic spells where the arcs are a majority of the casting time.
