Monster Monday-Greater Fire Demon

FireDemonMagnus had been summoning fire demons to do his bidding for years. They could use the furnaces to infiltrate and spy on the servants, and they liked the open-endedness of the missions.

But this, this fire demon was much too large to fit into the furnaces, and with the flames wreathing him, there was no way he wouldn’t be noticed on his way there. What to do with this creature?

It’s wings flapped and it asked, “what would you have me do?”

No one had caught Magnus using demons yet, perhaps now was a good time to wipe out some of his rivals. “I want you to kill anyone you find in the courtyard. Down the hall and to the left, first stair well and straight on.

Description: Greater Fire Demons are significantly more dangerous than Common Fire Demons, though curiously not to other fire demons.  Their primary increase in power is due to an aura of fire that surrounds them at all times.  They are also more capable of dealing physical damage and can take significantly more damage without slowing.  They are huge, at 12 feet tall and muscular.  Their wings are larger, but still vestigial and tend to flap nervously when in the presence of a greater power, an Epic Fire Demon for example.

In the past I’ve discussed demons in general and the difference between demons and devils, but this is a particular class and type of demon.

As a player, how would you handle a sudden fire demon attack? If you had the fire spell book, he’d be immune to most of your spells? What would you do? If you summoned one, how would you use it? Comment below to share your thoughts.
