The whip cracked and Damian could feel the heat coming from it. He should have known better than to steal from the temple of Tryseana. As he ran, he promised himself that he’d only steal from the more merciful gods in the future.
The temple keeper lashed out again with that terrible whip. It licked his flank like a flame and he could smell burning flesh as pain tore through him.
He continued to run, but a second lash ripped across his shoulders. “Oh,” he moaned, falling to his knees. “Please don’t let them take me alive!”
The Master’s Whip is the gift Tryseana gives to her favorite servants. It is often given to those who fight on her behalf or to her most admired torturers. It functions much like a normal whip, but with 4d2 damage instead of 1d4+1, a length of 10 feet, and 1d6 fire damage on attacks. It grapples like a normal whip, but can make Intelligence grapples at one fourth intelligence and gets a +2 on Strength and Dexterity grapples. The whip also causes damage to morale equal to the damage done by the whip itself, both physical and fire damage.
Whips are a hard to use weapon, but this one is powerful. Would get Weapon Mastery (Whip) in order to use it? Or take the penalty? What kind of character build would you want it for?
