Origins: Acolyte-Cleric (Disciple)

A pious, semi-combative class of the first tier. They have some aptitude for magic, especially in the magics closest associated with their deity on whom they rely for power. As they worship and practice the magic arts favored by their god, their god will grant them natural skill in those magics.
All clerics are dedicated to a deity, or at the least to an ideal which empowers them. They can have come to be disciples of their faction by a number of means, whether through enrollment in a spiritual school as a youth, a godly mandate received in old age, a cultural expectation, or as a form of rebellion. Their experience as a disciple and cleric can be equally varied: copying religious texts, healing the hurt, crusading for the god, fanatic involvement in cult worship, etc. Whatever the case, a cleric will always be knowledgeable of his deity and perhaps other arcane and deistic lore and may be trained in combat. Their magical skills tend to be focused on those realms favored by their deity.
