Saturday Spell-Disintegrating Weapon

Disintegrating Weapon

This 17 DoP(Dice of Power) spell is an encharge, and so without Encharge Mastery one DoP is lost, in the casting arrangement below 1 DoP of earth.  The power is divided over a specified number of blows from the encharged weapon between 4 and 12.  The damage is to material durability and totals 12*6*3(durability of stone)=216, able to ignore hardness.  Charges have a 35% chance of discharging against the wielder’s will when jarred.

If the damage is spread over 12 charges it is 18 durability damage per charge. This is enough to damage to destroy most weapons upon parrying them, or to cut through metal bars.  Spread over 4 charges it is 54 durability damage per charge.  This is good for material opponents, like facsimiles or stone elements. Spread over different numbers of charges it can be effective with blunt weapons that spread the damage over more surface or for different situations.

The spell would cost 100 sp.  It has 10 finger changes, 7 arcs and radii, and 4 syllables.  With no agility and 15 dexterity this is a 10.33 second spell for a right handed character.  The time for casting relative to power is relatively low, making this a spell ideal for casting before a combat rather than during it.  During a combat other spells are likely more effective.

Ku (physical radius): earth, order

Ya (earth arc):

Saying ” ki(destroy), ka(empower object), juo(encharge), gruo(material)”
